Breaking News: The Civil rights act has now made it so that African Americans can own property, bring lawsuits, and marry legally. The Congress created the 14th amendment and it's going to gave citizenship to African Americans. The Freedmens Bureau is going to start in 1865 as a temporary agency. It's going to help enslave people and white southerners, and establish hospitals.
It will hopefully be extended a year after that to help people find jobs, go to school, and to help protect the civil rights of African Americans. There will be an election in 1868. Hopefully, the winner of the election will help change the south. We want to discover new things, we want our towns and cities to grow, and we want all of the children to be able to go to school.
Once we get all of that squared away, we will be able to create the 15th amendment. Right now we're thinking about taking the 14th amendment to the next level by letting African Americans vote. Hopefully we won't run into any problems such as gangs and violence. Our main goals are to explain the problems of reconstruction, explain the three new amendments, and explain the changes in the north and the south after the civil war.
